Noun


A noun is a word used to name a person,animal,place,thing,and abstract idea.


Types of noun 


Common noun

A common noun ia a noun referring to a person ,place or things in a general sense –usually,you should write it with a capital letter only when it begins a sentence 


 in each of the following sentence, the common noun are highlighted

1. The stores have clothes for men and women.

2.There are many kinds of animal in forest

3. we have many flowers in in our Garden


 Proper noun

 a proper noun represents the name of a specific  person, place, or things. the name of days  of the week, months,historical documents, institution, organization, religion, their holy texts  are Proper noun. a proper noun is the opposite of a common noun.


 In each of the following sentences, the proper nouns are highlighted.

1. Ram and  Shyam are you friend

2. they live in Pune

3. they like to play cricket


 abstract noun

 Abstract noun is a noun which names anything which you cannot sense  through  your  five physical senses. it is usually the name of a quality, Action,state on Idea.


Example:  goodness, childhood, pain, thirst ,wisdom
